Statement of 1st Annual Central Committee meeting
of the 3rd Congress
1. The 1st
Annual Central Committee meeting of the 3rd
Congress of the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) was
successfully held from 1-4 January 2011 at the ALP-HQ in the
Indo-Bangla-Arakan border.
2. At the meeting, current
situation of Rakhaing revolution and politics, Burma
revolution and politics were broadly and thoroughly analyzed
and discussed in comparison with current international
situation.
3. In the field of
Burma politics, 2010 election was held by the Burmese
military junta, but the election was not free and fair. In
the election, electoral frauds were widely complained and
criticized almost everywhere, and vote rigging of Burmese
generals’ Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) were
clearly seen by the people of Burma as well as of the
world. So, the ALP have not recognized the election result
in which full of unfairness, as we have boycotted the
junta’s election beforehand because this election can make
no progressive changes of Burma politics and also the
interest of entire people.
4. The current
conflict with cease-fire groups which do not accept the
transformation of Border Guard Force (BGF) by the junta has
clearly stated that the 2010 election is not a result of
Burma politics. The ALP strongly support the stance of
those cease-fire groups.
5. The ALP would
like to express extreme sorrow for heavy loss of life of
Rakhaing people and their belongings by cyclone Giri which
had struck Arakan in October 2010. The ALP have strongly
condemned the irresponsibility of ruling Burmese military
junta for the victims of cyclone Giri. This has clearly
stated that alien Burmese rulers have no sympathy on
Rakhaing people.
6. Furthermore, the ALP strongly oppose and condemn the
Burmese regime which is unjustly destroying the Rakhaing
historical inheritance giving the reason of construction of
Sittwe-Minbu rail road in the ancient capital city of Mrauk-U
and Danyawaddy. By doing so, national spirit and patriotism
of Rakhaing people are systematically being undermined and
destroyed by the alien Burmese rulers.
7. The ALP will,
therefore, be struggling and fighting hand in hand more
closely with oppressed revolutionary forces and democratic
forces for liberation of Rakhaingland and entire Rakhaing
people from the yoke of colonial life of the alien Burmese
rulers.
